Paragon GE is looking for an Archiving Technician (Egyptian National) for a staff position with an E&P company in Egypt.

This is a staff permanent role that will be office based in Cairo.

Position Overview:
Primary responsibility will be to collect multiple data files together into a single file for easier portability and storage, or simply to compress files to use less storage space to Exploration and Subsurface Egypt teams. Organizing, maintaining records and materials for use by the company, understands the Archive older data that remains important to the organization or must be retained for future reference, securely storing information (both digital and paper format) to ensure only the right people can access the right documents. Follow up to gather the data from the JV and be sure all data is archived and distributed to any parties if required.

Responsibilities:

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
 
  • Deliver the required data to the governmental parties and follow up any data trade.
  • Organize and maintain the well data base to ensure data is available as required.
  • Ensure the delivered or received digital data, such as hard disks, tapes, CDs, DVDs.
  • Putting files, digital or paper, into their proper locations.
  • Ensures all legacy data is processed through quality control procedures and loaded into corporate data base and applications without any degradation.
  • Carrying out periodic checks on the completeness, validity and quality of data stored.
  • Tracking our stored data at the third parties, transferring and storing the cutting samples from the field to the third parties.
  • Ensure timely delivery of documents.
  • Provide administrative support to Exploration team.
  • Performed daily document control tasks such as document scanning, filing, and archiving.
  • Created and maintained an electronic document management system.
  • Provided technical support to users for the document management system.
  • Retrieve paperwork when it is requested.
  • Troubleshooting computers, printers, fax machines, scanners, shredders.
 
Essential Experience and Skills Required:
 
  • Knowledge of document control processes and procedures.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • effectively with cross-functional teams, working interest partners and potential partners.
  • Retrieve paperwork when it is requested.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency with computers, software and databases
  • High typing speed and accuracy
  • Great time management, prioritization and multitasking abilities
  • Ability to work in multicultural and multidiscipline teams.
  • Must be bilingual in English and Arabic.

  • This position reports to Exploration manager
