Paragon GE is looking for a Project Engineer for a staff position with an Oil & Gas Operating company in the UK.
The ideal candidate must have a minimum of 5 years relevant experience, must have experience with offshore developments, ideally experience with overseeing the design to installation of a topside.

Purpose of the Role: The Project Engineer will be responsible to carry-out and coordinate the completion of various projects, from basic design to final commissioning, he will be involved in all technical and commercial parts of the Project. There is also an operations support dimension to the position. The role will require travel to the subsidiaries and interfacing with various teams.
Job Function:
Main Responsibilities and Activities: (as listed but not limited to the following):
Projects development
- Define technical and commercial requirements for new initiatives.
- Prepare relevant project documentation, such as project scope, budget and schedule.
- Develop documentation required for intracompany project/budget register and approval.
- Lead the undertaken project initiatives within the organisation.
- Responsible for preparing and overseeing project design, planning, execution, installation and commissioning.
- Perform basic project controls function to maintain the project as planned, including scope / budget / schedule / documentation monitoring and control.
- Elaborate periodic project reporting as required.
- Prepare closeout report and lesson learnt sessions for all work executed.
- Provide troubleshooting engineering and execution support for existing offshore facilities.
- Define the planning for identified installation activities to be carried out as part of project initiatives and coordinate the execution (onsite, if required).
- Actively work in creating and building on the inhouse knowledge, documentation, and workflows.
Design/modification of the facilities:
- Safe design of the facilities compliant with the company policies and international standards & regulations
- Design/support ensuring operability, maintainability, and reliability of the facilities.
- Overall coordination and consistency of project activities: coordination of interfaces
Management of contractors
- Review and validate technical / commercial proposals.
- Coordinate reporting and provide progress followup functions.
- Focal point for interface and official communication with vendors.
- Perform variation order management if required.
- Respect of statutory requirements
Other Activities: (as listed but not limited to the following):
- Coordinates with Company and other entities of the project.
- Ensure reporting of activities is delivered in a clear and standard format.
- Maintains good relationship with internal and external stakeholders.
- Participate in the preparation of general project management procedures and guidelines to be used among subsidiaries.
HSE responsibilities:
- Support and enforce HSE objectives and directives.
- Promote HSE awareness of workforce and contractors and ensure that HSE is given the highest priority.
- Listen to, evaluate any project team member concerns; ensure that potential failures, weaknesses and hazards are immediately addressed and reported.
- Conduct alignment sessions for project management team members with respect to objectives.

Qualification & Experience:
- Master of Science Degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, with 5 years relevant experience in the oil and gas industry.
- Good communication (people) skills.
- Exposure to production operations offshore supervision and management.
- Project Management skills or training is preferred.
