Paragon GE is looking for a Group Environmental and Sustainability Manager for a position with an E&P company in Egypt. This opportunity is only open for Egyptian nationals.
This is a staff permanent role and will be office based in Cairo with visits to site.
The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of Environmental engineering experience and a minimum of 5 years in a Managerial position, have a strong background within the Upstream Oil and Gas industry ideally with other E&P companies.
Candidates must have experience working or overseeing JVs.

JOB DESCRIPTION
Group Environmental and Sustainability Manager Main Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain overall group environmental management by supporting and assessing JV technical teams, engineering project design, and operations.
- Develop and implement block-wide environmental monitoring programs across assets to detect trends and measure against national and international and industry guideline limits for emissions and waste management.
- Actively evaluate and assess the consistency of environmental management system and policies in accordance with corporate and relevant international regulations.
- Leads/implements the development and administration of plant environmental, health and safety processes, such as accident investigations, corrective actions, safety inspections/audits.
- Manage Social Responsibility projects around the projects where company operates.
- Manage environmental programs and activities associated with regulatory compliance in accordance with the company policy.
- Develops and facilitates training on EHS initiatives, Department of Transportation compliance topics, and required OSHA/ environmental training.
- Understands and remains current on environmental requirements.
- Compiles data, prepares and submits required regulatory reports.
- Provides, maintains and monitors all environmental, health and safety management activities.
Requirements:
- Official studies in Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or Mining Engineering or Civil Engineering is required. Master’s degree in environmental management, Sustainability Management, or Energy Management is desirable.
- International certificates such as IEMA Certificate in Environmental Management, NEBOSH Environmental Certificate etc. is desired.
- Minimum 10 years of previous experience as Environmental professional in Oil and Gas or Energy sector is required.
- Familiar with international standards and best practices such as IFC Performance Standards, ISO 14001, IPIECA best practices, Equator principals, ESG rating, GRI, GHG etc.
- Previous experience and knowledge of Social Engagement and Community Management is highly desired.
