Paragon GE is looking for a Senior Commercial Analyst (Egyptian National) for a staff position with an E&P company in Egypt.

This is a staff permanent role that will be office based in Cairo

Job Purpose:
Support the company’s strategic and operational goals in the MENA region by managing key
agreements, ensuring accurate financial operations, and identifying growth opportunities. This
includes coordinating proposals, market analyses, and evaluating scenarios to optimize decision making. Additionally, ensure alignment with the company's goals by preparing reports and
projections to guide strategic planning and operational execution.

Critical Responsibilities (MAE/MATTE/HSES*):
*Major Accident Event (MAE)/ Major Accident to the Environment (MATTE)/Health, Safety, Environment & Security (HSES)
  • Consider risk assessment of new / modified projects in coordination with HSE Dept.
  • Execution of the relevant work procedures and the operating work instruction pertaining to HSE requirements.

Areas of Accountability, Responsibility and Competence:
  • Negotiating and drafting of commercial agreements with state companies and with upstream partners (Joint Operating Agreements, Farm-Out Agreements, Gas Sales Agreements, Joint Bidding Agreements, …etc.) across MENA region.
  • Leading and participating in multi-disciplinary teams, formulating commercial and technical proposals presented to MENA NOC’s, authorities and managing different internal as well as
external stakeholders.
  • Prepare and/or review monthly sales invoices across relevant assets in MENA region.
  • Support in identifying potential investment and growth opportunities in line with the company’s strategy.
  • Research and evaluation of macroeconomic and microeconomic information on MENA region, especially related to the petroleum and energy sector.
  • Preparing various analyses, studies, reports and presentations as requested.
  • Evaluating economic results and reporting economic metrics under different commercial and
technical scenarios to assess parameters for new projects, or renegotiate existing projects.
  • Generating supply/demand estimates for various petroleum products including domestic gas, as needed.

Critical Skills, Qualifications, Experience
  • Bachelor Degree in Business, Commerce, Finance or equivalent (Master degree is a plus)
  • Minimum 5 years preferably within petroleum or energy sector
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to participate/lead complex negotiations.
  • Knowledge of macro/micro-economic analysis techniques.
  • Excellent spoken and written communication skills in English and Arabic.
  • Good knowledge of PC software applications and Microsoft Office.
