Paragon GE is looking for a Project Manager for a staff position with an Oil & Gas EPC company in Houston, USA. The position requires occasional travel to West Africa.

The Project Manager must have a minimum of 15 years working experiences in oil and gas industry, with minimum of 5 years as a Project Manager. Candidates must have experience with the offshore Oil & Gas EPCIC industry.

Candidates must have the right to work in the US.

JOB PURPOSE
The post holder is responsible to ensure project delivery and execution is completed safely within allocated time & cost.

KEY ROLES & RESPONSIBILITY
  • Responsible in executing the project in a safe manner, meets Contract requirement, Clients specifications, industry norm and Company policies
  • Participate in preparing the Commercial Proposal and Technical Proposal during the tender stage.
  • Prepare the Control Budget to execute the work taking into account optimization against Project Execution
  • Budget during proposal or tender stage. Identify potential overrun and its mitigation plan.
  • Review the overall project contract and requirements; to clearly understand the project scope, expectations, and deliverables involved.
  • Strategize the execution plan of the project to ensure all key success factors and risks of the project are duly
  • incorporated in the plan.
  • Responsible in managing the project execution to avoid delay, standbys, inefficiencies etc caused by lack of
approvals, improper method of execution, unavailability of materials, Clients change of plan etc. Project
  • Readiness Review shall be organized to evaluate the state of readiness prior work execution. The project schedule shall be monitored closely to anticipate issues and identify mitigation.
  • Responsible in ensuring all instructions and issues highlighted by Clients via letter, email, verbal etc are attended, addressed, and closed in a manner acceptable by Company and Clients.
  • Establish and maintain appropriate channels of communication among the project members; to ensure important and accurate information are shared with the right stakeholders.
  • Participate in safety initiatives / campaigns and inculcate safety mindset /culture among project members and
  • workers; to enhance safety awareness and safe working environment / behaviour.
  • Manage project stakeholders both internally and externally to ensure they are provided with sufficient and right information about the project.
  • Lead relevant project meetings either within the company or with the clients; to update/ to be updated on any major highlights of the project.
  • Oversee and manage overall project resources to ensure the resources are adequate and available throughout the project cycle.
  • Establish and maintain rapport with relevant parties which include but not limited to functional Head of
  • Departments, Team Leaders; to enhance working relationship and to ensure smooth execution of the project.
  • Oversee overall performance of the project team and provide relevant supports/ assistance; to ensure the
performance is maintained.

QUALIFICATIONS / CERTIFICATIONS :
  • Degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Mechatronics, Electrical); from recognized Higher Learning Institution.




RELEVANT EXPERIENCE:
  • Minimum of 15 years working experiences in oil and gas industry, with minimum of 5 years in similar position.
  • Preferably for candidate with experiences in the EPCIC and /or T&I projects
