Paragon GE is looking for a Senior Petroleum and Production Engineer (Egyptian National) for a staff position with an E&P company in Egypt.
This is a staff permanent role that will be office based in Cairo with occasional travel to site.

Responsibilities:
- Deliver reports on analytical evaluations related to our production (e.g., daily production reports), including variance analysis (field estimate to sales)
- Track and report on key requirements for operations materials and assist in initiating budget requirements, working closely with line management.
- Provide insight and track well failure statistics to identify reliability improvements and target to reduce the failure index and reoccurrence index in our artificial lift systems.
- Perform bi-annual look back analysis on failures, working with suppliers to eliminate re-occurrences.
- Actively support new technology projects (e.g.Digitalization) to increase overall production efficiency.
- Prepare engineering support for AFE proposals for engineering studies, artificial lift, flow lines, well conversions, pilot programs, workover, requiring partner and/or local government's approval, etc.
- Coordinate and schedule Well tests, well logging, and surveys initiated by Production and Reservoir engineering sections
- Coordinate technical supervision and assistance for on-site support of field activities
- Prepare Material and Service Requisition (MSR), P.O, Contract and other items as outlined in the Authority Limitation Manual; perform quality control, timely deliveries, and purchase order/contract compliance for all equipment orders and contracts initiated by the Production Engineering section
- Monitor and control the execution of approved budgeted and work programs for effectiveness & efficiency
- Prepare AFE Closeout and its supporting document related to Production Engineering and obtain its approval from Management and partner
- Manage the accomplishment of Key Performance Indicators of the Production Engineering Section
- Have Experience with the Avocet “Production Reporting system”
- Assist in the design of workover and well-servicing procedures, including the economic analysis of such projects.
- ALS Software design using C-fer and Rod Star not limited to S ROD software
- Work with our operations team to initiate and implement new technologies or enhancements to our operating procedures to lower operating costs and improve emissions.
- Monitor the field chemical management program and recommend areas for improvement.
Essential Experience and Skills Required:
- Degree in Engineering
- 13-15 years of working experience in the oil industry for an IOC in an engineering capacity (production engineering preferred).
- Self-motivated and keen to take the initiative.
- Detail-oriented with a passion and perseverance to solve technical problems and find areas of improvement.
- Ability to work within a multi-disciplinary technical environment.
- A thorough and methodical approach to problem-solving.
- Ability to work on a team in a fast-paced environment with changing timelines and priorities.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills (in Arabic and English) that will allow the incumbent to communicate and exchange technical opinions with internal and external stakeholders.
- Excellent skills with Microsoft Office software, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
- Solid understanding of production operations
- Some knowledge of drilling operations and reservoir engineering would be an asset.
- Travel to our field operations will be required.
