Location: Cairo, Egypt
The candidate will participate in both daily operations and long-term planning activities. This work includes general operations support and planning to drilling and workovers as well as longer term field development planning. In addition, the candidate will participate in enhanced waterflood planning and execution.
Responsibilities:
- Production Strategy & Field Development: Propose optimum production strategies and field development plans, including recommendations for infill wells, recompletions, workovers, stimulations, and shut-offs.
- Reservoir Management & Surveillance: Define requirements for and interpret the results of static and dynamic pressure measurements, production logging, fluid sampling, core analyses, and water sampling to optimize reservoir performance.
- New Drills Support: Analyze well logs, MDT/RDT pressures, and fluid samples for new drills. Interpret results to assess compartmentalization, fluid gradients, fluid contacts, and perforation selections.
- Operations Support: Offer technical analysis and recommendations to the Joint venture for well reviews, interventions, recompletions, and drilling activities to ensure efficient day-to-day operations.
- Waterflood Management: Monitor and analyze production and injection patterns and targets at both well and field levels. Recommend compatibility studies and evaluate the water injection best practices that avoid formation damage.
- PVT Analysis: Recommend, quality control, and validate PVT analysis reports for different reservoirs.
- Hydrocarbon Reserves Calculation: Calculate original hydrocarbons in place and estimate reserves using various methods such as material balance, volumetric calculations, decline curve analysis and reservoir simulation.
- Production Forecasting: Perform production forecasting using decline curve analysis and reservoir modeling to support reserves calculation and productive capital plans.
- Budget & Reserves Estimates: Contribute to the preparation of the annual budget, productive capital program, and reserves estimate bookings.
