Paragon GE is looking for a Subsea Project Engineer for a staff position with an Oil & Gas Operating company in the UK.
The ideal candidate must have a minimum of 3-5 years relevant experience and must have experience with offshore developments.

Purpose of the Role
The Project Engineer will be reporting to the Subsea Technical Manager or Subsea Operations Manager and will be responsible to carry-out and coordinate the completion of various Projects, from basic design to final commissioning, they will be involved in all technical parts of the Project.
The Project Engineer will support the commercial elements of the business, controlling all business risk and exposure and ensure adequate reporting of these elements to the Project Manager / Senior Project Engineer are correct.
The Project Engineer is accountable for the delivery of safe, efficient, reliable, and compliant operations for subsea systems installed in one or more of our operating assets and in line with relevant codes and standards.
The Project Engineer may interface , as applicable, with Subsea Engineers/ Specialists responsible for various functions with-in Subsea team as well as several external vendors/suppliers.
Job Functions
Essential Skills
Good technical knowledge of Subsea Systems (mainly XTs and SPS systems plus Structures, Controls,
Umbilical, Risers and Flowlines) in Deepwater Projects in the key project phases (design, construction/testing and installation). Good working knowledge on Subsea IRM Activities.
Main Responsibilities and Activities (as listed but not limited to the following):
Support to Production / Operation team
- Provide trouble shooting engineering and execution support for existing subsea equipment,
- Participate in the elaboration of the execution plan for the identified subsea intervention plan and coordinate the execution offshore.
- Actively work in creating and building on the in-house knowledge of subsea intervention
- Develop task plan for subsea project.
Design of the facilities
- Safe design of the facilities compliant with the company policies and international standards & regulations
- Design ensuring operability, maintainability and reliability of the facilities
- Reviewing and Challenging Integrity management operations that may impact production.
- Emergency response planning/preparedness of response strategy.
- Provide technical and execution support to subsea integrity engineer / team.
Project Management:
- Provide technical support to internal pre-project activities
- Provide support in the preparation of budget
- Review and prepared subsea operations / work schedules
- Follow-up of commitments, expenses, and cost forecast
- Support installation commissioning and handover of new subsea facilities.
- Prepare close-out report and lesson learnt sessions for all work executed offshore.
Other Activities (as listed but not limited to the following):
- Ensures accurate reporting of activities.
- Maintains good relationship with internal and external parties.
- Ensure a good and up to date system status with Subsea Group team,
HSEQ responsibilities:
- Support and enforce HSEQ objectives and directives
- Risk Prioritization of Area identified risks and mitigation measures.
- Participation in the HAZID/HAZOP/Risk Assessments & provide input from Subsea Operations point of view.
- Promote HSEQ awareness of workforce and contractors and ensure that HSE is given the highest priority.
- Listen to, evaluate any project team member’s concerns; ensure that potential failures, weaknesses and hazards are immediately addressed and reported.
- Conduct alignment sessions for project management team members with respect to objectives

Qualifications & Experience
- Master of Science Degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology
- >3 years relevant experiences in the oil and gas industry. Ideally from one of the following
Integrity Management, Subsea Flexible flowline/Risers, Subsea Control System, Subsea ROV
operations, Subsea Construction.
- Design and/or Integrity knowledge of Pipelines and Facilities as it relates to Operations and Fit for Service, ideally within a Subsea Operations and or Projects Developments environment.
- Competent in relationship management working with a diverse set of stakeholders including
- Excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to interact effectively with people at all levels in the field and in the office as well as outside of the company.
- Fluent English
- Proven track record of strong Continuous Improvement skills.
